I have expirience in riding Icelandic horses once! It was in Sweden. These horses are pretty popular there. The Icelandic horses funs have a special way of training and competing. And special saddles, very big, which allows to distribute the heaviness of big rider on horses back. These horses are popular in sidesaddle riding also, because of very comfortable gaits!

On pastures on summer time I have seen many horses with blankets. It is because of some kind of allergy to sun light!
