Hi!
I don't know very much about Russia, but I'm interested in how people treat horses in other countries too. Yeah it sucks that horses and all the horsey stuff are so expensive! That's very good for me because I live on a farm and we have our own hay and stable, so we save lots of money that way.
You said that you ride dressage. What other stuff does people in Russia do with their horses? Like jumping, western, driving them in carts, natural horsemanship and so on? I've herd about one person in Russia that does natural horsemanship. He can do amazing things together with his horses! But that maybe isn't very common there?
I'd love to teach you natural horsemanship! The "key" to everything is to have fun with your horse, and that your horse has fun too! Sounds simple, but there are lots of other stuff to think about too. "Think like a horse" is a good motto. Study horses playing with each other in the paddock, learn how they react and how they communicate with eachother. Because that's what you're gonna learn. If you communicate with the horse on its own "language", both you and the horse will understand each other better, which leads to a better relationship with eachother.
Write back soon!
Hugs, Menea

Hi Menea!
Thanks for answer! How are you today?
There are few people in Russia who do natural horsemanship, because it is not very well developed in this country. I think that people are not used to doing something with the horse without leadership. But, when we do something new with our horsies, we become friends with our horses. And when we become friends, horses better understand us and trust us more, so they do all elements of horse riding better! I saw that horse do piaffe on cordeo only under the influence of legs. THIS IS AMAZING!!! If people do natural horsemanship people will understand their horses, and this is very good. What is his name? I do not know who you're talking about, but maybe I would remember ))
All in all, most people do dressage or jumping. Cross country is less common.Russia has a legendary breed - Orlov trotter. Owners of Orlov trotters take part in competitions special on trot. Very beautiful sight! As I said, natural horsemanship less common in this country. But recently, an equestrian magazine conducted a video contest on natural horsemanship. Of course, many people do not catch up with the foreign people who do natural horsemanship, such as you, but making great progress!
Thank you! I plan to start with the usual commands - come up to me, depart in the direction of the first touching. I want a horse that thought I was a friend and trusted me. So I will start to usual communication with the horse - grooming, talking, walking etc.
Waiting for an answer))
Hugs, Alina ^)
